SASASAS embark on a European Spring Tour in early 2016 with some very special guests featured as well as a string of released, mixtapes and music videos.
Mc skibadee’s roots are deep in the d&b genre, where he has stayed at the top of the game as an artist and has won a cabinet full of awards. Famed for his crowd hype, he has always retained a cutting edge to his vocal output. With an incredible international reputation, he has performed at shows all around the world, spreading the word of drum and bass.
As a key member of the highly praised sasasas group with national radio support from radio 1 and 1xtra, amongst numerous radio guest spots, skibadee’s appearance on dj semtex’s fast & furious freestyle part one with harry shotta and mic righteous was a highlight with over 1.2 million views.
Involved in the first ever dnb showcase to be put on sb.Tv which gained massive popularity in the social media world, he is the first d&b mc to have reached over 100,000 likes on his fan page. Not only performing each and every week to big audiences, his special dubplate was used by david rodigan for the recent red bull soundclash as part of rebel sound.
To look at him you’d never think MC Shabba D was old enough to have played an influential part in rave’s earliest chapters over 20 years ago. Neither would you think he’s a keen park fisherman or, for that matter, that he spent a year being a pop sensation in Japan.
Such is the crazy world of the undisputed Lyrical Dapper…
Hackney born Shabba was raised to the soundtrack of the pirates. To him, having a shout out was like appearing on MTV. Hungry for the action, he started manning the Weekend Rush phones at the age of 12 and soon found himself on the air, planting the seeds for his now inimitable hype-charged skippy flow. By 1991 he was representing at Outrage alongside the very biggest in the game. He was barely a day over 14.
By the mid-90s, Shabba D had achieved notoriety on both the airwaves and the main stage. A prize fixture on the Kool FM roster and a repeat feature on line-ups across Europe, his ability to both host consummately and let rip with serious spitfire attracted the attention of a major label who whisked him off on a whirlwind world tour with a band Zilch. Number one in Japan, Zilch featured various members of legendary punk banks and took Shabba all across the Far East… Giving him an opportunity to celebrate a birthday with Ice-T, dine with Rod Stewart and, most importantly, take the UK-born art of MC delivery to a truly global audience.
On his return in 2001 Shabba was determined to take his work to the next level. Not only did he form SAS with Skibadee, creating one of the biggest ever MC groups of its time, but he also set up various enterprises, proving himself to be as sharp on the business side of the dancefloor as he is on the mic both as a promoter and record label owner.
His now legendary MC Convention events established strong links with some of the biggest promoters in the game such as Accelerated Culture, Telepathy, Jungle Splash, Pure Intention and Breakin Science. This led to huge national touring events Sticky Da Rave and Girls Don’t Pay both of which regularly sell out illustrious venues such as London’s Scala.
Meanwhile his labels Highly Blessed and, more recently, Higher L3v3l, developed Shabba’s abilities as both a recording artist and as an A&R manager. His own 12”s such as ‘Junglist Guy’ and ‘Music Louder’ are now highly sought after while fellow Higher L3v3l artists such as Modified Motion, Terra Danjah, Swifta and Yardie have all benefited from Shabba’s sharp-focused business vision.
Over 20 years deep and Shabba is widely regarded as one of THE most influential MCs on the international D&B circuit. A hype hero with a dexterous flow that spans from reggae roasting to D&B double time, Shabba has the skills to host the biggest and the most intimate parties. Whether you deal with him as a promoter, record label owner or performer, the Lyrical Dapper does the business… And he does it with style.

Originally starting as a side project for dubstep & grime producer/DJ "Young D" (a name known to the likes of DJ Hatcha, Modestep, Skream & Benga & more) in 2011, Skelecta’s sound initially was more reflective of the darker side of garage, influenced by the work of VVV, Burial, Jamie XX and Jack Steadman.
2012 was the year that slowly saw him go back to his original grime roots but this time with a modern twist – Infusing grime, house, dubstep and garage together. This lead to "Sublow” (also known as Drop It), a tune which was picked up very quickly by the likes of B Traits, Plastician, My Nu Leng, Taiki Nulight, DJ Barely Legal, Seb Chew & more, as well as gaining him a feature on B Traits' "Ones To Watch for 2013" show along with his other song "Baby, I Love You" at the beginning of 2013. From then he has continued to mix skippy, percussive grime, house and garage drums with dubstep influenced basslines, carving his own sound within the ‘UK Bass’ genre and grime. This has seen him gain support on stations such as BBC Radio 1 / BBC Radio 1xtra, Kiss & Rinse FM, from heavy weights such as Gorgon City, Redlight, AC Slater, B Traits, Plastician, Logan Sama, My Nu Leng, Taiki & Nulight, DJ Q, Seb Chew, Sian Anderson, Mike Delinquent, mainly after the release of the Big Bad Wolf EP on 877 Records. Not one to be unfamiliar with two decks and a mixer, Skelecta has DJ'd at countless events and festivals around Europe, such as; Horizon Festival and Bass Drop Festival, as well as many others across Germany, France, Italy Netherlands & Prague, whilst also djing for such established grime acts as Jammz, AJ Tracey, The Square, Kozzie, Big Zuu & more.
"Hailing from South London, Skepsis (known to his friends as Scott Jenkins) is no stranger to any fan of the UK bass sound. Smashing into the limelight in 2015 with a series of gritty originals and remixes, his heavyweight basslines and intricate sounds have gained him fans from all over the world in a very short period of time. By 2016 he had already played multiple festivals as well as gigging regularly around the UK to critical acclaim, with releases on established labels such as In:Flux, Project Allout, DeepRot, & many more. With music supported by names such as Logan Sama, Scott Garcia & Sticky, Marcus Nasty & more, at just the age of 21 fans should be massively excited to hear what the future holds for Skepsis; and at this rate, the sky really is the limit."

Dreps made the transition from dnb to uk urban music after linking up with uk artist harry shotta and experimenting with different genres of music at slower tempos, the consistency with his lyrical delivery and raw content meant that a slower tempo only made his style more appealable.
Dreps released visuals ‘shuttin it down’, ‘ready or not’ and more recently ‘why would eye’ on sbtv as part of harry shotta’s ‘kaleidoscope music’ compilation. As well as music, dreps teamed up with uk clothing brand avit clothing to produce his own branded clothing called ‘team drumz’ an extension of his dnb brand.
Watch out for some exciting things coming from dr eps in the very near future.
There's no question that rowney & propz are hot property right now. As dj's, producers and label managers amongst other things, these boys have been taking on stages globally for over eight years together now and having swiftly gained a reputation for becoming ones to watch as masters of the drum and bass sound, have been turning heads of late with their sharp, high octane and extremely entertaining and crowd rocking performances. Coming up from a very busy manchster drum and bass scene where both artists were carving out names for themselves individually, the two would meet in 2006 forging an unstoppable working relationship that would see them build a new movement in the north west, this alliance would be a strong foundation for producing unforgettable tracks, running one of the hottest labels out there right now and getting noticed by all the major players in drum and bass music worldwide.
As producers, they run the now highly successful g13 records (home to equally hot property right now, macky gee amongst others) and the label has gone from strength to strength since it's inception in 2008. Now, six years on and g13 releases are not only best sellers, but fully supported by some of the biggest players in the game such as andy c, grooverider, hype, nicky blackmarket, hazard, marky and many, many more. As a label then and now, they continue to be a force to be reckoned with in their nurturing, discovery and support of breathtaking new talent, of which have included some blinding tracks from some names which are also in turn doing big things right now as a result of g13's support. This would include the release of a g13 label album which fully celebrated half a decade of g13 releases with a blend of established and breakthrough artists showcased on the album handpicked to further the sound that g13 has now become so famous for.
Of course, we digress, the boys themselves are very talented when it comes to original productions. Rowney himself has been producing for over 10 years with his first big break coming from having a track featured on a free mix cd for knowledge mag, which got him some bbc radio 1 airplay, this would be followed by releases on second city and class a recordingz and quite famously had a release on radius records in 2013 after the track featured on hazard's 'fabric live' mix in 2012. Together, their innovative collaborations have had releases on both their very own g13 outlet and also further afield with work signed to and released on smokescreen, radius, calypso musak, bio beatz, multi function and advisory. They are no strangers to a well supported mix tape either, having worked on mix tapes such as 'manchester massacre' with mc trigga in 2009 and a g13and bio beats mix in 2010, a mix with hybrid minds mc tempza shortly after and their most successful of all mix tapes, the infamous innovation in the sun mix with trigga from 2011 which exceeded over 5000 downloads and over 10, 000 you tube hits. When they aren't busy creating mix tapes, churning out game changing drum and bass tracks and remixes and blasting stages, rowney & propz can also be found running a weekly radio show on popular internet station cre8dnb to followers quite literally in the thousands.
Which brings us back to their work upon a stage. Constantly delivering mind blowing jump up performances again and again and again, these two hotly tipped drum and bass properties have now worked on the main stages for all the most profound promoters in the business including innovation, random concept, united sounds, shadow demon coalition events, raveology, the warehouse project, skankers, hysteria and many, many more including legendary belgian promoter city flow, for which the boys are currently holding the prestigious honour of residents.
Add all of this up together and these are some serious achievements as a partnership in the space of only a few years, breaking every barrier at every given opportunity, it is clear that greatness lies before them in the years ahead. We certainly know where they're headed, and we welcome you to join them for the ride, trust us, you'll love every second.

As an artist making waves right now, rob anderson has the honoured title of being pioneer dj’s product training and demonstrations executive; a role that has seen him become famous amongst the electronic music elite for his unmatched technical skills and abilities on pioneer decks and effect units. By day, he is a master of the essential kit that every dj worth his salt needs, working for the company that has made it’s mark as the industry leader of all dj related products. By night, he becomes the very wielder of such important weapons as one of the uk’s most promising house & techno artists.
Having been a collector of exceptional electronic music since he was given his first pocket money allowance, rob’s obsession with music of all varieties has been very much in place since his childhood. Before exposing his talents in an electronic fashion rob also learned to play acoustic guitar and classical piano, but it was at the tender age of 14 when things took a dramatic change. He was loaned a set of technic 1210 turntables from his cousin, who just so happened to be a resident at london’s infamous the cross nightclub at the time. With inspiration from finbar dac (his cousin) rob began to hone his craft. He developed a fast growing knowledge of 90’s acid house and became immersed in the fast growing house music culture in london.
Naturally, his own set of decks would soon follow - a more affordable set of kam silver dwarfs. A considerably more difficult to master downgrade from the technics, but as is rob’s nature, he conquered them none the less and started making use of the records he’d invested in. Blending the sounds of the acid house tracks he loved with the 4x4 garage records that were becoming huge at the time. Rob was soon recording, and putting out mixes akin to groove chronicles, tuffjam and todd edwards, and a solid skill set in dj’ing was established.
After leaving school with the natural flair for dj’ing well under his belt, rob’s next move was production. He enrolled on a music production course to learn the propellerheads ‘reason 2.00’ software, he would then end up not only passing, but also teaching this course himself in west london for 5 years, once again proving his solid ability to be open to new ideas, but also to fully master anything he had learned.
Now fully versed in both dj’ing and production and by way of his first ever set at the aquarium nightclub in london, rob took his first step into a much larger world – ibiza. Scoring a two year residency at santa eulalia’s guarana bar, just outside ibiza town, and gaining numerous sets at eden, the zoo project & ittica. Rob laid down roots across the beautiful white isle location and make essential contacts. It was here he also met a good and trusted friend who he would then move to amsterdam with to further study electronic music production at the world famous sae (sound & engineering institute).
As he did in ibiza, rob would also start making new contacts and friends in yet another party capital of the world. Settling on a residency at the getaway dj cafe, whilst playing multiple high profile gigs for a very well respected event ‘error krew’ at amsterdam’s legendary studio 80 nightclub. Here, he would share a stage with such artists as maetrik, william kouam djoko and boris werner.
From here, rob enjoyed another successful residency season in ibiza before returning to london. He was now ready to take on london’s booming house scene as a fully fledged production and dj’ing force of technical mastery. From then, until now, he has successfully co-founded both the ‘techno coalition’ and ‘underground coalition’ events at london’s lightbox, founded esoteric events that originally debuted at ministry of sound as well as 93 feet east & the hoxton basement, but it’s his current project that is really causing a stir. The exciting and hotly anticipated ‘yøu.R’ events series; which are presently full to capacity at every date and have hosted the very talented james zabeila, bearweasel, reset robot, cozzy d & luke solomon. Some equally huge acts are booked for the remainder of 2014 and heading into 2015, as yøu.R heads towards their new home of trapeze in shoreditch, london.
Rob has also had the great pleasure of playing at many prestigious events outside of his own parties both at home in his native uk and further afield on foreign shores. With event organisers such as ‘cadenza’, ‘ketoloco’, ‘fervor’, ‘don’t techno sh!T’, ‘w.A.S.P’, ‘bambara’, ‘eartoground’, ‘the zoo project’, ‘temper temper’, ‘roots of minimal’ all now safely satisfied and on his cv, at a number of impressive venues such as the egg, lightbox, fire, cable, ministry of sound, 93 feet east, nomad, hoxton basement, 333, the scala, mother bar, studio 80 in amsterdam, the machine in belgium, eden, guarana, the zoo project and giale in ibiza, it’s no wonder, with such flexible and adaptable ability as both producer and dj that pioneer brought him on board some three years ago.
Presently rob is continuing to up the game, in all areas. With his commitments to pioneer taking him around the world training the very highest calibre of artists in the technical capabilities of the globe’s best dj products; his continually busy dj schedule taking him to new heights and bigger stages globally, the ‘yøu.R’ events set to include some very high profile artists (as well as his ‘yøu.R’ residents mix series garnering a fantastic following online) and his eagerly awaited studio productions set for big things in 2014 – it’s really quite fitting that pioneer have enlisted the talents of this endlessly talented house & techno hero as their leading demonstrator.
